Mira Shanouda
Cairo, Egypt Mira Shanouda is a freshman at the American University in Cairo (AUC). Her STEM high school instilled in her the passion for all STEM fields. Mainly, she is interested in programming and technology. She has participated in many local STEM competitions and hackathons and was a finalist in ISEF in the category of Embedded systems. She is also a director at AUC Robotics organization. |
Joseph Anyanwu
Imo, Nigeria Joseph is the founder of the Nigeria chapter of the international "Boma" and "Innoverge' organizations, aiming to drive systemic change by educating, inspiring, and empowering individuals. He is very passionate in carrying out SDGs goals and especially teaching STEM courses. He also coaches, teaches, and mentors humanitarian getures around the world. |
Aries Zara Ilag
Lipa City, Philippines Aries is a senior biology high school teacher at The Mabini Academy in the Philippines. He helped lead his school team to 1st place at the Filipino Science Investigatory Project Competition. Many of his students have gone on to win 1st place in several team and individual life science categories in various science fairs. |
Dongyeong Kim
Seoul, South Korea Dongyeong is very passionate about STEM. For the past two years, he has been selected to represent South Korea twice at the international Intel ISEF competition, in the category of System Software and Engineering. He can't wait to help serve as a Regional Director of STEMinate! |
Arush Sarda
Arush Sarda is a rising senior at Centennial High School in Maryland. He is extremely passionate about STEM, particularly in the areas of computer science and mathematics. He has deep experience with STEM; he has taken many rigorous courses and has had extensive extracurricular involvement. He is very excited to spread his passion for STEM through STEMinate! |
Shrihit Saxena
Shrihit is a rising senior at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School. Some of his interests are playing basketball, volleyball, biking, watching movies and playing instruments. He is very passionate about STEM as he is interested in physics, chemistry, mathematics and computer science. He has also volunteered at a science museum in his area called the Liberty Science Center. |
Nishka Patel
Chesterfield, Virginia Nishka is a freshman at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies. Her main interests include things such as community service, painting, and writing. She is also very interested in the STEM field, hoping to partake in many STEM related activities over her high school journey, along with spreading learning opportunities to others. |
Pranaya Sripathi
Chesterfield, Virginia Pranaya is a rising senior at the Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies. Her interests include art, Latin, and medical studies. She's in multiple honor societies, like the Mu Alpha Theta and Science National Honor Societies. She volunteers with a group called Kids are Scientists too, is very interested in the STEM fields, and wants to spread that interest onto more people. |
Ari Johri
Richmond, Virginia Ari is a sophomore at Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies. He is a FIRST Robotics Competition World Championships Johnson Division Finalist, and he has also won awards at VJAS and Mathnasium. He loves to play cricket and basketball, sing songs and create music, and loves to work with statistics and numbers. He can't wait to make an impact through STEM in his community. David Roberts
Richmond, Virginia My name is David Roberts, and I am a sophomore at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies. I love rock climbing, playing soccer, and hanging out with my friends. I’m passionate about working with the communications department at STEMinate because I am good with talking to children and adults, and I know how important it is to spread the word about all of our wonderful events. |
Thomas Short
Richmond, Virginia Thomas Short is a 10th grader at Maggie L. Walker High School, who is excited to join the Steminate team. Thomas enjoys reading, listening to music, playing with his dog, and most importantly, learning! Thomas is interested in STEM, History, Economics, and Finance. Thomas wants to join Steminate because he wants to help younger kids develop a passion for STEM, just like he did when he was younger. |
Siri Saligrama
Richmond, Virginia Siri is currently a junior at Godwin High School and is in the Center for Medical Sciences; she has always had a fond love for STEM, especially the medical side. Some of her interests include conducting research, volunteering, learning new languages, singing, art, calligraphy, and more. She hopes to make a positive contribution to her community and is overjoyed to be part of STEMinate. |

Richmond, Virginia My name is Lipi Annapareddy and I am an 8th grader at Short Pump Middle School. I am new to this area and love participating in local STEM projects. My passion is math and sciences. I am interested in book drives and volunteer opportunities. I also enjoy dancing and playing volleyball. |
Cam Ly Tran
Bon Dak Mam, Đắc Lắk, Vietnam Cam is a fresh at the Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. She has been awarded twice in Vietnam Science and Engineering Fair. Cam was also a finalist of a "Start-up Contest," hosted by Ministry of Education and Training, where she won the “Creation for national youth” award. Cam has a passion for science, STEM education, and hopes to bring STEM to all students in the world, especially those in developing countries. She can't wait to join the STEMinate team! |
Trung (Johnny) Nguyen
Rach Gia, Vietnam Trung is a student at the Huynh Man Dat high school for the Gifted in Kien Giang, Vietnam. He's currently the chairman of his school’s Chemistry Club, and an accomplishment researcher in the Institute of Applied Materials Science, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He has been awarded once in theVietnam Science and Engineering Fair, participated in various STEM seminars, and has a great passion for science, mainly related to Chemistry and Biomedical Materials. |
